One family celebrates!!

It is a happy day for one of the 8 families adopting out of Taraz, KZ!! Two weeks ago our friends, B and J got a YES from the municipal judge! That is a huge praise and thanksgiving. And today they received the stamp that officially makes them parents! They get custody of their little boy tomorrow! We are so excited for them and thankful for what this means to us as well. These friends decided not to appeal to the Supreme Court but to instead return to the municipal court and sort of start over. It's a long story with lots of details but in the end- it worked!! And we are so happy!

What does this mean for us? Our paperwork has been updated, signatures of local families who would not have wanted to adopt Timur over a year ago have been sought after (it seems that is what the judge wanted), and it's now been all resubmitted to the court. We are feeling positive at this point. We are unsure of the time line, but pray the judge will give us his positive decision soon!
