The last 2 days have been delightful with Timur. He's been happy and playful. Someone told us yesterday that Timur is a clever baby compared to the others in his group. (Of course that made us smile!) We saw his cleverness yesterday when Shane was stacking books on top of each other to make a tower. AFter stacking and then knocking it down, Timur proceeded to copy Shane and building up the tower again. He was so very careful placing books, toys, kleenex, and cars. HE also mimicked Shane putting a ball on his head. Such a smart little guy! We are seeing more and more into his little personality and it's so fun.
All of a sudden the week is going fast and our bonding is about to be complete. We have been taking pictures over the last 2 weeks to show or "prove" that we have indeed been bonding. We need to get many of the photos developed and put into a book for the baby house, the courts, and the guardianship council. We have our appointment with the guardianship council on Friday. We have been prepped as to what questions they may ask. This council is the one that gives us approval to petition the courts for adoption. So many steps!
It's seems we have been away for a long time and we are anxious, so anxious, to get home to our 3 kiddos!! We miss them terribly! But getting home to them means leaving one behind and that will be tough. But God has brought us this far. He will not leave us or Timur. A friend emailed today saying she has been praying daily, sometimes hourly, for us. We know that so many of you are praying and we are so thankful!! This has been an amazing journey! God has been so faithful and answered so many of our prayers. Thank you, thank you!!! We love you!
